Due to safety concerns, the [Fédération Aéronautique Internationale](/wiki/Fédération_Aéronautique_Internationale "Fédération Aéronautique Internationale") (FAI) no longer recognizes new records for the duration of crewed airplane or glider flights and has never recognized any duration records for helicopters.
